What are Working Communities?

The 31 music ensembles in NewAud work together in groups of 4, 5 or 6 ensembles. We call these groups “Working Communities”.

A Working Community is a creative unit, in which the ensembles work together on exploring a concert theme – for instance how to use the internet for live concerts, how to use speaker presentations at concerts – or how to give concerts for children.

The direct cooperation means that the ensembles exchange practical experiences, act as each other's sparring partners and cooperate on the preparation of concerts. Through the project the ensembles participate in workshops together and even help each other evaluate the concerts.

The working communities work across borders as they deal with challenges that are general to music environments across Europe.
